Use manual tools! Rake your leaves!

Don't blow them! Raking leaves can lower your utility bill AND prevent localized flooding by keeping storm drains clear for early winter storms.

Sprinkle it wisely!

Check your irrigation system. Water lawns only when needed and turn off automatic sprinklers.

Leaves make great mulch!

Put fallen leaves to work in your yard! Put a 3-inch deep layer of mulch around young trees and shrubs, extending the mulch to the drip line. Keep the leaves at least 6 inches away from the base of the tree.
